The Final draw of the year for Saskatchewan’s Entrepreneur Expression of Interest (EOI) was held December 5th. This category enables international entrepreneurs with a temporary work permit to set up a business in Saskatchewan provided the minimum entry criteria is met.
Candidates who meet the minimum entry criteria as well as their business Performance Agreement are eligible to apply for the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP). Those applying for SINP must create an online profile outlining information pertaining to their entrepreneurial experience, Business Establishment Plan, and assets.
Applicants who meet the minimum entry criteria will be accepted into the Expression of Interest pool and designated a score out of 160 points. The EOI points based system assigns scores for business performance with a focus on selecting entrepreneurs who will add diversity to Saskatchewan’s labour market.
To qualify for the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program Entrepreneur Category, candidates must verify a personal network of CAD$500,000 and a minimum of 3 years entrepreneurial experience within the last 10 years. Candidates must also make a minimum equity investment of CAD$300,000 in Regina or Saskatoon, or CAD$200,000 in any other Saskatchewan community
