Marharyta Liva is an associate lawyer with Pace Law Firm in Toronto. Marharyta is passionate about helping people navigate the intricacies of immigration law since she herself has gone through the Canadian immigration process. She understands the needs of immigrants, particularly those who have been pushed out of their native country by unfortunate circumstances, or those who want to immigrate to Canada because of their talents or because of family connections. She facilitates their entry into Canada by preparing family class sponsorships, economic class applications, provincial nominations, Canadian experience class matters, federal skilled worker applications under the Express Entry System, Start-Up applications and temporary resident applications to study or work in Canada. Marharyta is also conversant in U.S. immigration law, having extensively helped Pace Law Firm do U.S. immigration applications during three years of work with a senior U.S. immigration attorney while articling and becoming an associate at Pace Law Firm.

Prior to joining Pace Law Firm as a lawyer, Marharyta graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School with a Master of Laws degree. Before that, Marharyta earned a Bachelor and then a Master of Laws Degrees in Civil law at Lesya Ukrainka Eastern European National University in Ukraine, and worked for eight years as a lawyer prior to immigrating to Canada.

Outside of work, Marharyta is committed to giving back to the community by volunteering at the monthly Legal Aid Clinic run by the Ukrainian Canadian Bar Association at the Ukrainian Social Services building at Bloor and Jane. Marharyta is trilingual and is able to service her clients in English, Russian, and Ukrainian.
